The Color Project

Bye bye

14 May

As you’ve probably noticed, The Color Project has sort of slowed down or come to an end. I’ve loved that this has been a place for me to be active in searching for and being inspired by so many creative peoples work. The group of you who have consistently come back to see what was featured for the color of the day,  I’m really grateful for. I started this project after quitting my job last year to go fulltime freelance. Doing that was a bit scary but it was the absolute best decision I could have made and my growth and experiences in the last year have been so wonderful.

I am now working on some lovely little startups. I am the co-founder of Wishiverse, the founder of Scratch and the new lead designer (working on redesigning the site now) of Skilloop.

My two babies:

  1. Wishiverse allows you to create a universal visual wishlist and share it guilt-free with those you love. I’d love if you’d check it out and let me know what your experience is like with it and what could be improved! Like us on Facebook, Follow us on Twitter!
  2. Scratch is in the process of being created and I couldn’t be more excited. I absolutely loved the technology of the Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips but disliked the majority of the designs. So I saw this amazing opportunity to create a company that worked similar in nature to Tattly (an amazing idea for designer temporary tattoos and an inspiration – also Tina Roth Eisenberg is incredible) and create a nail polish strip company that was home to some of the best designers custom designs! SOOOOO that means if you are awesome at print design or have any rad ideas let me know and I’ll send the template your way  (email subject line ‘Scratch Designer’  to chelsea@goscratch.it) Also… Like us on Facebook and Follow us on Twitter!

SOOOO if you don’t care about any of that self promoting crap ( :) ) above and are bummed that you won’t be able to get your color inspiration you came here for, here is a list of some of my favorite inspirational blogs in no particular order.

Also please comment if you’d like with your favorite blogs or even your blog

P.S. PLEASE feel free to send me an email if you’d like to talk/chat/shoot the shit about literally anything. I love connecting with inspiring folks like you… hello@builtbychelsea.com

Orange Monday: Bathroom

30 Apr

Love this bathroom, not sure how I would fel if it was my place though. It might make you nervous if you felt like you might fall down every time you used the bathroom.  ”Guadalajara-based architects Hernandez Silva Arquitectos recently designed the interior of a new penthouse situated on top of a 1970s Mexican colonial building in Guadalajara, México. A notable feature of the home is a powder room situated atop an unused 15-story elevator shaft.” (via Colossal)
